About Jean
For over thirty years Jean has been inspiring individuals and groups to "bring out their best" and get the results they want. She is a Life Coach and certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and currently offers private coaching programs for young Moms who want to make life with kids easier, more harmonious, and FUN!
A graduate of Rutgers University, Jean began her career as a computer programmer and systems analyst for a major pharmaceutical company. Several years later, she became a stay-at-home mom to raise three daughters and is proud of the women they have become. Jean became a first-time "Grandma" in 2010, and is enjoying the role tremendously.

"Becoming a parent began an amazing educational experience!  I felt like I was spinning my wheels. I knew what I did NOT want to say to my kids, but I needed some help on what TO SAY AND DO in challenging situations. I felt confused and not very confident about handling the kids. When a flier for a parent workshop showed up, I showed up at the class... with a bit of skepticism about whether I could actually implement the suggestions. I mustered up the courage to make some changes in my language patterns and when I saw the results, I was hooked on learning more.  The most influential program I took was the "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen" workshop series by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. Today I facilitate that program whenever I can, and have added to my skills by becoming a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. As I kept learning, I began to more fully understand that each child is unique, and each Mom is unique. No single approach fits everyone perfectly. I learned NOT to love each child equally, but uniquely. And now I customize each coaching program to fit the style and goals of each Mom and her family."
As a life-long learner, Jean expanded her horizons with variety of personal and professional development programs including instructional design, advanced group facilitation and life coaching. She has served as the Learning Specialist at Purnell School in Pottersville, NJ, and an adjunct faculty member at College of St. Elizabeth, Morristown, NJ, where she designed and delivered numerous student-success workshops.
"Students enjoy learning how to learn when they understand THEIR OWN learning style and can recognize and honor different learning styles in others. Parenting  becomes easier when moms and dads understand THEIR CHILD’S learning style.”

Jean also enjoys coaching students of all ages who want to improve time management, organization, test-taking strategies, study skills, SAT and ACT scores, and generally become the best student they can be.

"My service as an academic coach to the student, often includes working with the parents, teachers, and/or guidance counselors, so there can be a total team effort. And the improvement in student performance and grades shows that this approach works well. What's extremely rewarding is working with a student who moves from blaming others, or circumstances, to self-responsibility, self-improvement and self-empowerment... then improved grades follow."

Over the years, her work added a spiritual perspective, and she began studying meditation and various aspects of the mind-body-spirit connection.

"Fitness of mind and spirit is just as important as physical fitness. Learning to release clutter from your mind leads to more clarity, focus and greater sense of well-being.”

Jean enjoys bringing new concepts to her clients that she personally applies to her own life. She is a delightfully supportive and energetic coach, with practical and playful approaches for bringing out your best!

What I enjoy most about what I do is the "aha" and value  that people experience from our work together.  When you begin to  feel a new spark, surpass yourself, or step into more of your greatness, I feel I've served at my highest capacity and played an important role toward your success and joy in life!"
Dear Jean,
What I really liked about your work is that it allowed me to become clear when my emotions and ego were taking over. God bless you and all your good work. You were an angel sent to me at that time of need.  ~Jane O.
